Welcome to the GREEN EARTH ITEMS website. We have developed this website to promote products that are environmentally friendly and natural. Our goal is to provide you with a "One Stop Shop" for all of your green earth and environmentally safe products.
Why Go Green? Natural cleaning products are made from renewable resources instead of petroleum. In addition, the manufacturing process for plant-based products is more energy efficient than for petroleum products. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 25-ounce bottle of petroleum based cleaner with a plant-derived product, we could save 86,000 barrels of oil--enough to heat and cool 4,900 U.S. homes for a year!
Trees absorb carbon dioxide which is the major contributor to the green house gases and global warming. A tree will remove one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime. A ton of recycled paper will save seventeen trees. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 120 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with 100% recycled ones, we could save: 1 million trees, 2.6 million cubic feet of landfill space (equal to over 3,800 full garbage trucks), 367 million gallons of water (a year's supply for 2,800 families of four), and avoid 38,000 tons of pollution.
Most would like to discontinue using the chemical and petroleum based products that are commonly sold in our grocery and department stores and use natural and recycled products. However, these traditional stores offer limited alternatives. We would also like to use energy saving products to not only save earth, but to save our wallets. Our schedules are busy and we simply do not have the time to search for products that are not only environmentally safe, but safer for ourselves and families and save us money in the long run. Finding products through the internet can be even more time consuming and frustrating.
We are doing that shopping for you. The products are then presented to you in a easy format so that you can shop and compare products as if you were standing in front of a shelf at your local grocery or department store.
